Eclipse: the total or partial obscuring of one celestial body by another or the passing into the shadow of a celestial body
Let me start by saying that witnessing a total eclipse is clearly a cool thing. It’s uncommon and seems wild to watch the sun fall into a shadow. However, energetically it’s more interesting; not because of the activity of the eclipse, but because of how we think and overthink events like this...
Anytime attention is directed at a specific event, the energy surrounding that event intensifies. This may make something more powerful (meaningful) for us. (Let’s be sure not to misinterpret the word “powerful” it often simply means “meaningful,” especially when it comes to metaphysical/esoteric ideals.)
An eclipse is a natural occurrence and doesn’t have “special” energy or influence of any kind. It’s merely a natural behavior of the cosmos. However, quite a bit of energy (here on earth) is stirring around this event. People are getting so excited, worried, overly cautious. They are spending huge money and planning trips to witness the event. Many hotel rooms are sold out in Oregon and running up to $2,500 per night.
Because of this, buying into an eclipse having some kind of special or supernatural power seems easier than wanting to admit that we just might be behaving out-of-whack with our own selves.
“It wasn’t me, the eclipse made me do it!” <---Don’t be this person.
It’s just an eclipse guys...
It’s neat and only as meaningful as you make it, just as any other day.
If you are feeling energetically wonky, it’s because you are not in alignment or in control of your energy. Maybe stop attempting to blame external things for your full-time internal employment opportunity. If you get stuck, feel stuck, or aren’t reaching goals as rapidly as you had hoped, let's have a little chat.
Don’t blame the eclipse.
Structuring the day can help if you're often feeling scattered or not as effective as you'd like to be. To maximize your time, these quick thoughts might help.
